Drop off used agricultural plastic film, including bale wrap, bunker silo cover, silage bags, greenhouse covers, and wood pellet bags for FREE recycling. Plastic film should be relatively clean and dry (shake off excess feed, dirt and mud) and sorted by type. Collection time will be 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. Please call OCCA at (607) 282-4087 to make an appointment to bring plastic, as well as for instruction on how to best handle plastic for recycling. Note there will be another collection on Saturday, May 12 at the Southern Transfer Station in Cooperstown. This program is offered in partnership with the Otsego County Solid Waste Department, the Otsego County Soil & Water Conservation District, and Casella Waste Systems.
